Craftsmanship and hard work

The concept for Ohio & Erie Company began about 15 years ago. We were restoring our family’s 1850’s barn on the farm located on the banks of the Ohio & Erie Canal near Cleveland, OH. The work was hard, honest, and satisfying. That same philosophy carries over to every project that we tackle, whether it be as simple as a light fixture change, to as complicated as a reconstruction of an 1829 farmhouse porch. We saw a need in the market for someone who can work on projects that are just big enough that a homeowner does not want to bother with, but not so large that a general contractor should be hired. Attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, discretion, trust, and a strong work ethic are just a few things that we strive to provide to our clients.

On this jobsite, near the equipment, runs what is left of the Ohio & Erie Canal. This location, north of Chillicothe, is 251 Canal miles from Cleveland.
